Trail Mix Cookies


  • 1 Cup Butter, Softened
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 Whole Eggs
  • 1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • 3 Cups Old Fashion Oats
  • 1 ½ Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 Tsp. Baking Soda
  • 1 Tsp. Cinnamon
  • ½ Tsp. Kosher Salt
  • ½ Cup Chopped Nuts
  • ½ Cup Chocolate Chips or M & M’s
  • 10 Oz. Assorted Dried Fruit, Chopped


With an electric mixer, cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy, scraping down the sides of the bowl frequently. Add the eggs and vanilla to incorporate, again scraping bowl.

Combine the oats, flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a separate bowl and mix so ingredients are evenly distributed. Add this dry mixture to butter, sugar, egg mixture in 2 portions, scraping bowl between each addition.

Add nuts, chocolate and dried fruit, mix just until piece are evenly distributed, scoop cookies and place on parchment lined sheet trays 2” apart, staggering each row. Bake in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for 10 – 14 minutes, rotating trays halfway through cooking process. Allow to cool on wire rack before serving.
